Practice tests to prep for the CCAT: brush up your Maths, Verbal and Spatial skills, score high marks and get hired.

Description

This course contains 6 practice tests (300 questions) for the CCAT. The practice tests have been carefully designed with one and only one aim: to help you do well in the CCAT.
The tests simulate the real test as much as possible: the pattern of the questions is the same as the CCAT, as of 2022. The difficulty level of the questions ranges from the same to a bit higher than the CCAT. These tests will enable you to assess your level of preparedness for the CCAT. You should expect to get at least the same range of marks in the actual test. In reality, you are likely to find the CCAT easier and therefore will do better.
Each practice test has 50 questions to be answered in 15 minutes. I have provided answers with clear explanations for all questions.
Once you have attempted some (or all these tests), you will know what to expect and will not go into the CCAT blind. You will have got used to the frenetic environment of the CCAT and will know how to handle the stress. You will get to know which question types you are strong in and can easily score marks. And also, which questions you should make an educated guess (if needed) and quickly move on. There is no negative marking.
This is the only test preparation package you will need to ace the CCAT. This course will help you prepare for the test efficiently, with no unnecessary wastage of time or effort. The CCAT is only one step in your hiring journey: you do not want to spend weeks or months preparing for it. As a bonus, your mathematical, verbal, spatial, and logical thinking skills will improve by the end of this course. This benefit will last well after you take, and crack, the CCAT.
The CCAT measures intelligence and aptitude. This set of tests focus on the same areas in which the CCAT will test you:
  • Total number of questions = 50
  • Mathematics (16 questions)
  • Verbal reasoning (14 questions)
  • Spatial reasoning (11 questions)
  • Logical reasoning (9 questions)
Note: the numbers above are typical, they change slightly from test to test.
Within each area, questions are typically distributed as follows:
Maths (17 questions)
  • Unitary Method, Percentages, Fractions, and combinations of these (8)
  • Comparison of numbers (1)
  • Problems based on Tables, Graphs, or Charts (Line, Bar, or Pie), based on addition, subtraction, averages, or comparisons (1 or 2)
  • Average (1 or 2)
  • Weighted Averages (1)
  • Algebra (1 or 2)
  • Permutations / Combinations / Probability (1 or 2)
Verbal Reasoning (14 questions)
  • Analogies (5)
  • Fill in the blanks with the most appropriate words (7)
  • Opposites (2)
Spatial Reasoning (11 questions)
  • Series completion with shapes or symbols (7)
  • Find the odd man out in a given set of shapes or symbols (4)
Logical Reasoning (8 questions)
  • Given two assertions (statements), does the third assertion follow? (3)
  • Given two sets of strings (letters, numbers, and other characters), determine if they are identical (3)
  • Number series (1)
  • Letter series (1)
The questions in the CCAT are not necessarily difficult: most of the questions are of middle or high school standard. The stress of answering 50 questions in 15 minutes is what makes the exam appear difficult. You will learn to handle the stress by preparing with this Practice Pack. You will encounter all the question types which are frequently used by the CCAT test creators.
After you have attempted a couple of these tests, you will have a pretty good idea of where you stand, whether there are any specific areas you need to improve in, and how ready you are to take the CCAT. You will have increased your chances of getting a high score and getting hired. All the best!
