Welcome! I’m a CELTA certified English Language Teacher with aviation experience and can help you improve your English used in routine and non-routine situations. I have taught English to students overseas, initially general English then later English for Aviation. Prior to this I have served as an Air Force cadet where I developed a love for aviation and had the opportunity to train as a pilot, flying gliders and propeller driven aircraft. Following on from this I became a member of Cabin Staff for a commercial airline operating from the Middle East.

I have been fortunate to fly globally on the Boeing and the Airbus fleets with many nationalities as staff and passengers, and as a result have encountered many situations where a greater level of English Language would have prevented confusion for pilots, cabin staff or air traffic control.

Who this course is for:​

• The English for pilots course aims to provide the necessary English Language skills to pursue a career in the International Aviation Industry; or are currently working in the industry and wish to improve their English. Currently operational Air Traffic Controllers and Pilots are required to achieve the ICAO Level 4 standard of English. This course is aimed at those students - ab initios, who have achieved the B1 level (intermediate) in English language. Students are not required to provide the necessary certification to demonstrate this standard, but should be aware that the target language used is pitched to B1 intermediate level English.
• You are a pilot or training pilot and need to improve your English in routine and non-routine situations with the aim of passing ICAO4
• For people, including Air Traffic Controllers, who want a career in aviation but require a higher standard of English Language.
