Hello, my name is Robert Simons, and if you're like me, you use a number of different software on a daily basis. Some of the tasks we do are very repetitive, and that's where AutoHotKey comes into play. You can automate both hot keys (think of how you can press Ctrl+C to copy), create your own hot keys (create a custom sequence of commands to, for example, rotate an object), and create custom code that fills out forms, does a sequence of repetitive tasks, etc.I have personally been using AutoHotKey for years and it gives me an edge to get tasks done more quickly, leaving time for other things I enjoy doing.
This is a hands-on course that will walk you through step-by-step exactly how to program simple scripts to automate your life.
In the first module, I will take you through getting all of the free software downloaded that you'll need for the course and getting your first script programmed.
In module 2, we will go through the scripting framework, in which we will go over all the essential commands that you need to know in order to be a super ninja in AutoHotKey.
In module 3, we will go over how to show messages that we use for both troubleshooting as well as collecting information from the user.
In module 4, we will go over how to create both simple and advanced functions, which you will use to re-use any code that you use often.
Finally, in module 5, we will put everything you've learned to the test as we create two fun projects that will use all of your knowledge so far to complete.
