Workshop Details
What if you could develop applications 3x faster than you are right now? 5x? 10x? What would that mean for your career and your clients? Using Rapid Application Development patterns, we will make the case that this is both possible and easier than most would imagine. We will start by discussing the theory behind Rapid Application Development and what it means to shift our thinking from a traditionally vertical, feature-oriented approach to a horizontal, aspect-oriented approach. We will explore how to model a domain and how its entities communicate via event storming. Next, it's full speed ahead into practical techniques and examples of accelerated development using CLIs, live templates, helpful libraries and tooling. We'll even build a suprisingly capable code generation engine using basic string manipulation. By the end of this workshop, you will have an understanding of the core pieces that are critical to application development as well as the tools to write the code that writes the code for everything else.
