About the course
Hello and welcome to Linux Network Configuration! This course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and utilities needed for managing networking on a Linux host.
In the first section, we will focus on the basics of network configuration, including what a network interface is and what it is used for. We’ll also discuss the differences between wired and wireless networks and the utilities that our used to manage them. We’ll then move on to more advanced topics such as configuring network routing, analyzing network services and sockets, and interacting with remote hosts using command line utilities. Finally, we will cover the various configuration files that make networking possible and the log files and utilities that we can use to analyze and troubleshoot network performance issues.
This is meant to be a stand-alone course, but it is also part of the learning path for the LPIC-2 201 exam.
