I recommend Stephen Grider's course. He doesn't use Typescript and builds upon each lesson and project. Also introduces Redux after teaching you useState.

No, Mosh is not good for explaning concepts for beginners, also you have to know typescript, not recommended at all.

I wouldn't recommend this course to an absolute newbie, only reason because Mosh used Typescript in this course and for a newbie React + Typescript will make things really complicate.
Otherwise excellent and concise course.
