Really? are you expecting immediate updates even partial updates just because they exists? I do not want to be a bad seed, and thanks for notifying on the update, but this seems hilarious, almost like demanding the update one day later. Please guys, don't be like this.Just updated and re-recorded with all new React features for 2022 (React v17..and soon v18)!
The course has only been partially updated. The announcement of the update says that the second part of the update will be released in the next 2 weeks. Therefore, it makes sense to wait another 2 weeks.
But, if someone has the opportunity to post the now available first part of the update, that would be great!
The first part is already available on udemy.
Here's the announcement of the update:
«The Complete React Developer in 2022: Zero to Mastery is getting a makeover! Since so much has changed in the React world since we have created the course, we decided to completely re-record 90% of the course! Since this course is a beast with 40+ hours of content, it takes a LOOOONG time to update everything. Therefore we have decided to do it in 2 parts to minimize headaches by students and also allow students who are 50% through the course to still finish the videos if they chose before we update everything in 2 weeks.
A little story
The React course is going through a complete overhaul and facelift! In the past 2 years @Yihua Zhang has been working out, consulting and leading teams in large tech companies that work in React. We've been finding and understanding the best patterns that scale within the React Ecosystem and all the new changes that have come in the past few years (React hooks, Firebase, context API, Apollo, Typescript, Redux etc.). The ecosystem and patterns change quickly in the world of React, but it takes time, a lot of time, for these changes to settle into best practices once they get tested and scaled. The time was ready to re-record the course.
The course has so far been updated all the way to the end of the base Capstone/Master Project (CRWN Clothing) with new patterns and best practices that current applications use!
The next sections to come will include new Redux + Sagas, Typescript integration, Performance Optimization strategy, Testing strategy, and using GraphQL! These sections will be uploaded in the next couple of weeks!
One quick ask from us , we have kept some of the old videos and sections from the previous iteration of the course in case anyone wants a reference, but please do note that the videos are not compatible with the new changes and codebase from the updated version of CRWN-clothing. We have kept the videos that have not been replaced in case students want a reference, but they will not apply one to one with the updated code. These videos will be updated in the coming weeks so hang tight!»
